by Brouwerij Boon

This is a traditional lambic (sour beer) steeped with real raspberries.

Pours a deep red to amber rose colour, with a pretty pink foam.  The aroma is strongly of raspberries (as you would expect), along with a little spicy, earthy funk.

Fruit lambics are a gentle introduction to the style, and the framboise is a nice alternative to the more common cherry Kriek.  There is a balance of sweetness, with the tartness of the fruit and the wild nature of the base lambic.

A truly refreshing drink for a warm afternoon, or perfect as an early evening aperitif.
