Container Tasting Saturday 29th August 2026

Date
Saturday August 29th, 2026 (18 days away)
Location
The Beer Shed - 96a Fern Street Islington 2296

This container tasting is only for the hard core as we've got some seriously good beers to sample here.

How's this for a line up:

Fantome Hermine 4.6%  -  this is the third of the new Fantome beers from last shipment, and Dany offered the following (quite verbose description for Dany!): "It is a funky witbier with a big touch of peppery spice"

Funky Fluid Gelato: Forest Fruits & White Choc Praline 5.5%  -  fruited ice cream sour with blueberries, honeyberries, raspberries and blackberries then finished off with white choclate praline

Funky Fluid Game OVer: Zapper 6.1%  -  West Coast IPA with Hydra, Citra and Simcoe hops

3Fonteinen Wilde Terf x Br. De La Senne  6.9%  -  local wheat beer, brewed by Brussels-based Brasserie de la Senne using old wheat varieties from the cereal collective of Brouwerij 3 Fonteinen.  Part of the brew was immediately drawn onto small bottles and sold out immediately. Another part of the brew matured further for three years in oak lambic barrels. In November 2023, this ‘matured’ Terf was lit with young 3 Fountains lambic, in a 55/45 ratio

Gulden Draak Blond  8.0%  -  this is one of the new beers from Van Steenberge, a traditional (if high on ABV) Belgian blond ale

Funky Fluid Gelato XTREME: Matcha 8.0%  -  these turbo-charged fruited smoothie sours are what Funky Fluid are known for.  This beer boasts banana, passionfruit, white guava, peach, matcha and spirulina (for colour)

Funky Fluid Appetite For Destruction 8.2%  -  Double West Coast IPA with Moasic and Strata hops

Struise XXX Rye Tripel Reserva 10.0%  -  rye tripel that has been aged in bourbon barrels

Uiltje The Royal Oak 11.0%  -  barley wine aged in French oak barrels

De Molen Balcones Edition 2023 Imperial Stout 11.4%  -  the name says it all - a De Molen Imperial Stout aged in Balcones whisky barrels
