  3. Container Tasting - 10th October 2025

Container Tasting - 10th October 2025

Date
Friday October 10th, 2025 (17 days away)
Location
The Beer Shed - 96a Fern Street Islington NSW 2296

Our latest container is about to arrive, so time to book in a date for our next CONTAINER TASTING!

With more than a tinge of regret, this could be our goodbye to Brouwerij De Molen.  With that in mind, I've included a couple of the classics that we haven't had for a while as well as one of their last new creations.

In addition to De Molen, we have lots of good beer on this container including lots of those high ABV monsters that are so good at hiding their punch.  So this tasting is aimed at our experienced members.  Are you up to the challenge?

Uiltje Here's Johnny! (6.0%) - West Coast IPA with Waimea and Cashmere hops

De Molen Vuur & Vlam (6.2%) - De Molen's classic IPA, I really only ordered these so I could have them in my fridge over summer

La Trappe Special Blond 2025 (7.0%) - a special Belgian Blond beer that is brewed with barley, wheat, oats and rye

Deus Brut des Flandres (11.5%) - the original and still the best of Belgium's champagne beers

Glazen Toren Cuvee Angelique (8.3%) - a double speciale belge, brewer Jef Van Den Steen made this for his wife after the brewery of her favourite beer closed in the 1980's

Uiltje Oh, Behave!  (7.2%) - an East Coast 'old school' IPA

La Rulles Grande 10 (10.0%) - brewed to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the brewery in 2010, this strong golden ale has become a favourite

De Molen Kandij & Kaneel (9.5%) - Belgian quadrupel with candi sugar, cinnamon and vanilla

De Molen Bommen & Granaten (11.0%) - the famous 'Bomb & Grenade' barley wine

De Dolle Stille Nacht 2024 (12.0%) - fantastic Christmas barley wine from De Dolle Brouwers
